English Classes with an Experienced Teacher

Would you like to improve your English? Do you want to feel more confident about your English
for your presentations? Do you enjoy mostly conversational classes with a bit of vocabulary and
grammar? Are you almost fluent in English but you still feel like a bit of practice? Have you ever
wondered what is it like to be fully fluent in English? Would you like to make your ambition come true? Then the English classes with Karel are for you.

Individual (on-line) classes for Intermediate speakers (B1 and B2)

Most of Karel’s individual classes are conducted on/line via Skype (or Teams) or any other usual medium. But upon individual agreement exceptions can be made and the lessons can be also held in person – depends on your location. The usual duration of 1 unit is 60 minutes. We start our lesson by revision of your vocabulary by either playing a game or giving each other puzzles. The warm up phase is usually followed up a conversational block about your weekend or a topic of your interest. And of course, the classes are also focused on revision of grammar and expansion of your vocabulary from a suitable textbook. After the lesson, Karel will send to you a new vocabulary list and also an audio file with recorded pronunciation of new words and expressions in MP4 format. This will help you to revise your vocabulary and grammar in the time between your lessons. For the best study results, we strongly advise you to study your vocabulary and phrase list regularly. The more you will be exposed to the language, the better it will be for your learning process. Remember - practice makes better! The suggested revision time is 5 or 10 minutes 3 times a week. In order to master a language, we need regular exposure to the language until our new words become automatised in your mind. Through our vocabulary and phase list and audio footage, you will enhance your learning style to the next level.

Individual (on-line) conversational classes for advanced speakers (C1/ C2) via phone

Individual conversational classes are meant to help already fluent speakers to feel more confident before an important presentation. Most of Karel’s individual advanced classes are conducted via phone. The lessons are usually combined in a combo package with Rheto-coaching sessions. In the lesson we tend to have conversations with special focus on topics of your choice. And after the lesson, student usually receive a vocabulary list that summarieses some new words and expressions that were a bit “rusty” and the student needs to revise them. Do you find the concept of our classes interesting? Which one would suit you? Then write us an e-mail and you can schedule your 30-minute assessment lesson completely free of change. In the assessment lesson Karel will determine your level of English and you can get a sample of the lesson which will help you to decide if the lesson style is suitable for you. If you decide to have regular lessons, you can choose from our 4 packages.

Group in-company (in person) classes

Most of Karel’s in company classes are conducted in person in the client’s office. The usual duration of 1 unit is 90 minutes. Students are assessed via short on-line interviews. In a typical lesson, you will first revise your vocabulary by either playing a game or giving each other puzzles. The warm up phase is usually followed up a conversational block about your weekend or a topic of your interest. And of course, the classes are also focused on revision of grammar and expansion of your vocabulary from a suitable textbook. In the core of the lesson, we usually tend to have a role-play exercise which enables you to activate effectively your new vocabulary, phrases, and grammar. At the end of the lesson, we tend to revise our vocabulary of the day and (sometimes) homework is administered. You group in-company classes can also have a periodical (once a semester progress test) in order to monitor students’ achievements.
